We founded the business in 2015, starting with vibrant food markets across London followed by the opening of our flagship site in the heart of Chinatown, London. We have plans for further site openings in 2020 and we are now excited to be opening up our channels to driven operators who would like to replicate our success in other areas of the UK.

Where do the recipes come from?
Our current recipe is an upgrade based on a secret recipe that dates all the way back to the 1950s. The current version of the recipe was the fourth recipe which underwent rigorous testing for months and years. The recipe is always reviewed and retouched from time to time to suit the current needs and desire of the public. The current version of the recipe gives the waffle a crispy surface and bouncy texture, which is perfect to enjoy with gelato or other delights. The recipes are kept secret to maintain our core competitive advantages. We have also developed a special vegan/plant based Bubblewrap recipe, which together with our vegan toppings selection, is proving to be popular amongst our vegan audience.
How do you view Franchisees' backgrounds?
The Bubblewrap franchise is designed for Franchisees who are new to the sector, but it is very important to think carefully about whether our franchise really plays to your strengths. You must be keen to run your own business, manage your own employees, focus on success and be prepared to put in the necessary time to make it happen.
We want our Franchisees to succeed and, on that basis, we will be very selective. We want ambitious people who are disciplined, capable and have a positive outlook, and who are happy, honest, and pleasant individuals.
How much does it cost to open a Bubblewrap shop?
In addition to the initial franchise fee, each location is different and the initial investment varies depending on shop size, build out costs, location, etc. The required investment range is between £80k-150K.
How can I finance the Bubblewrap Franchise?
The franchise can either be financed from personal capital or from a business loan most of the major clearing banks have specialist Franchise departments as they view Franchising as a safer way to start a new business. In this regard, local managers will usually provide good terms and a higher lending propor- tion of the required start-up capital than might otherwise be available.
Can I sell my Franchise?
Yes. One of the benefits of owning a business is the ability to sell on that business and receive the capital appreciation you have built up over time. Obviously, we will want to first approve the new owner prior to issuing a new Franchise Agreement, just as we will with you prior to your acceptance to the Bubblewrap Franchise.
